What makes a ghost decide to haunt a particular home?
I know why battlefields are haunted but not all houses or businesses or restaurants that have ghosts had a death. Even then many spirits haunt a place when they died of natural causes not all ghosts died a violent death.
Ghosts can be anchored here by sudden death such as car accidents or murder or addictions or unfinished business, or even love can be the cause of a spirit staying here and not moving one. However I do not subscribe to the theory that ghosts have to stay where they died. Ghosts have free will in death as in life. I believe ghosts choose a home based on the inhabitants personality. People who are addicted to drugs or alcohol or anger or are dysfunctional in their live will attract the same type of spirits.
