Haunted Fort Ghost Stories

haunted civil war town?

so i watched a tv show a couple of years back that was about ghosts and haunted places and i remember one of the stories was about this town where ever single store and home was haunted by the ghosts of civil war soldiers. the town didn’t realize until some years later that the reason for the town being haunted was because the town took down the last standing remains of a civil war fort that was made out of stones and the towns people used these stones as fronts for their yards and around the foundations of the their businesses and home’s which is where all the ghosts came from. i have a friend that is going on a ghost hunting trip across the country and i’m trying to find out the name of this haunted town. doe’s anyone know it?
