Can I join the Army or National Guard?
I’d like to join the U.S. Army or the National Guard as active duty.
My situation is I was home schooled and I left school at the 8th grade, I’m planning on getting my GED, but whats troubling me is I’m not sure if I can join the Army or National Guard, I want to go in as Infantry (11b).
When I goto take the practive asvab test on the military.com/asvab I can’t locate anything saying GED, or 8th grade.
I’d appreciate if any former or current military persons can answer my question, its been haunting me for some time now. I’m currently 17 years old.
If you are still being home-schooled, and you graduate, meeting the state requirements for graduation, you won’t need a GED.
